Sam is a Pittsburgh native and knew she wanted to work with animals from a young age.
She started her path into veterinary medicine as a high school job shadow in the summer of 2003. She followed a surgical technician at the old PVSEC building in Etna.
After she graduated high school, she enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Western School of Health and Business. She graduated with an Associate degree and became a CVT in the summer 2007. She was hired after her externship at PVSEC and stayed on as a surgical and neurology technician for over 14 years. Although she loved specialty medicine, she needed a change and joined Cranberry Veterinary Hospital in October 2021. She instantly fell in love with general practice life and loves getting to know all of the regular clients and patients at CVH. In March 2022, she accepted the position as Head Technician and has been thriving in her role to lead the CVH team.
When she is not at work, she enjoys hiking, playing video games, and spending time with her husband Cole. Their family includes 2 terrier mixes, Astra and Trapper John, 2 cats, Princess Zelda and Riku, and Neytiri, the Mojave Ball Python.
